Therapy isn’t easy — and it can feel even harder when you’re not seeing the progress you hope for. My goal is to walk alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges, offering a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. I see it as a privilege to hear your story, explore what’s holding you back, and work together to identify patterns that are getting in the way. Through building a genuine and trusting relationship, I aim to help you reconnect with your own inner resilience and face the hard stuff with care and compassion.

In my work, I focus on being real, collaborative, and compassionate. I draw on a range of approaches, including attachment theory, narrative therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed practices. But more than anything, I believe in meeting you where you’re at, moving at a pace that feels right for you, while also helping you stay accountable to your own goals.

I bring years of experience supporting people with complex challenges like PTSD and trauma, substance use, mental health concerns, and the impacts of systemic barriers. I’ve worked with individuals ranging in age from 5 to 80, in residential treatment centres, correctional facilities, community-based programs, and non-profit organizations.

Before focusing on counselling, I spent years in youth mentorship, literacy programming, and community development — designing and leading workshops and programs that supported marginalized communities, including Black Indigenous, People of Colour (BIPOC) and LGBTQIA2S+ youth. Whether in group settings or one-on-one, I’ve always centered the unique needs, identities, and lived experiences of the people I work with.

Education

I hold a diploma in Criminology, a Bachelors of Arts in Child and Youth Care with a specialization in Child Protection, alongside an Addictions Certificate from Vancouver Island University. I’m currently a Masters of Social Work Candidate at the University of Toronto, focusing on mental health and addictions. Throughout my career, I’ve continued to deepen my practice through modalities including Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Self Management and Recovery Training, and Shadow Work.
